Profitable on Purpose Conference brings together 100 women entrepreneurs for a full day of strategy, expert sessions, and peer connection on October 23, 2026

ESQUIMALT, BC — Women own nearly half of all small businesses in Canada, yet research consistently shows they are less likely to turn a profit than their male counterparts. On October 23, 2026, a new event aims to change that conversation on Vancouver Island.

The Profitable on Purpose (POP) Conference — the first working conference of its kind on Vancouver Island — will bring together approximately 100 women business owners for a full day of strategy, expert-led sessions, and peer connection at Esquimalt Gorge Park Pavilion. Unlike traditional networking events, POP is structured as a working day: attendees leave with tools, decisions, and a plan, not just business cards.

The conference theme draws directly from the business reality many women entrepreneurs know intimately. According to Executive Producer Pam Ivey, too many businesses function as expensive hobbies rather than profitable enterprises — and that gap is rarely discussed openly.
